Tribute

As everyone is well aware, we mourned the death of our beloved prophet Gordon B. Hinckley this past week. I feel a great deal of loss, and any words I might put down seem almost inadequate, so I decided to make a video. This is my tribute to an extraordinary man, who will live on in our hearts and our minds, and whose words will forever inspire us to stand a little taller.

If you watch it, I hope you like it.

Nicole, what a wonderful tribute to our much loved prophet. I will miss him, even though I know he is in a better place and now with his much loved eternal companion. Tis cool to know that if we do our best we will see him again one day. We are so blessed to have this knowledge. I think everyone who joins the church holds the prophet who leads the church at the time of their conversion as special. President Hinckley was mine. I loved him so very much and will miss him sorely. President Monson is cool too though and I love him also. Actually I love them all. They're all giant men! Thanks for this lovely film Nicole. (((hugs)))

I am glad you all seemed to like it, sometimes I get a bit nervous in sharing videos like this because of how much it declares my emotions.

The song used is called Butterfly Waltz by Brian Crain on the album entitled Piano and Cello Duet. It is a really good album, and all his other music is great too.

Nicole,

What a wonderful gift you have of expressing such love and beauty and capturing peoples lives with photo's, film, words and music. It is really the first time I have had to stop and watch or listen too anything on the passing of President Hinkley. It truly touched my heart and the tears flowed freely while I was sitting at my office at school. The maintenance crew keeps looking in to see if I am o.k.

You captured truly who President Hinkley is and I thank you for sharing your wonderful talents with all of us.

I appreciate your blog and all that you share with all of us. Love, Martha

Okay. I am sure that blogger has some way that you can block an individual who starts to make you nervous when/if they start to display stalker like qualities. That being said, let me acknowledge the fact that I have already commented on this particular post several times but I am going to say at least one more time that I think you are brilliant and that the music you chose is beautiful and that the pictures you chose were primo and that the videoclips you selected were both heartwarming and heartwrenching and that the man you chose to pay tribute to was one of the greatest ever. Well done and I'll try not to be too obsessed.

You got to see my reaction to this first hand as we talked the other day, but I just wanted to say again how incredibly talented you are. You have a special gift of taking music and photos and combining them in a moving way. More so than anyone I know, and better than any of the others that I saw on YouTube. As always, I am so proud of you and grateful for the amazing talents you possess and I am grateful that you are so willing to share them with all of us. You are SO COOL! Love, love, love...Mom
